In my career as a Software Engineer, there are times when I performed extremely well and times when I didn’t. I always told myself that I should do better and work harder but didn’t care to understand why at times I didn’t perform as well as I wanted to.

As a life coach, Aditya patiently listened to my story, interests/disinterests, good/bad experiences, hobbies and things I’m passionate about. He took an example of an activity (martial arts), that I fell in love with and practiced for 5 years until I had to move to a different place. Through coaching, Aditya helped me understand at a deeper level why I liked practicing it so much and identified my personal values I was expressing through martial arts practice. We then mapped those attributes to my professional career and further helped me understand the root cause of my not-so-par performance in some projects. It was fascinating to learn and understand the “why” behind those cases.

With the coaching from Aditya, I am now consciously factoring in those findings in all my current and future work endeavors.
