This place is great! Three floors with everything you could possibly want in terms of strength training and cardiovascular exercise. I'd call it an "old school" gym in the very best sense -- all great content without any of the nonsense frills. The people who run the place are pleasant, the people who train there are a diverse lot, and there's plenty of room for everyone from the most serious powerlifters to casual folks just looking for basic exercise. Lots of windows in this old factory building. Three thumbs up!

Excellent gym! Went in to get a day pass today, with the hope to use the strongman equipment. The gentleman at the front desk mentioned that the area had just been printed and was inaccessible. He gave me a free day because of this! That’s a great staff, I can thoroughly recommend this gym!!

Do you like gyms with old and outdated equipment that’s always broken and out of service? How about working out in a gym with no air conditioning that smells like a locker room full of teenagers who don’t shower? Or how about being bothered by the troll who has never had a girlfriend that works at their front desk? Well if that’s you then this is the place for you! Forget about the nicer, much cleaner gyms up the street with better equipment, just come here instead! And don’t worry, if you decide it’s not for you, the owner will ask you why you’re canceling your membership and then get hysterical when you tell her why…. at which point she will tell you that “you’re not canceling your membership, because she’s revoking it” …… real top notch place. 👀🤣

I pray they never try to redo this gym. I came back after ten years (military life) and it’s the same old rustic gym. This gym by far (I’ve been to so darn many gyms) had the best equipment and ‘old true lifting’ vibe. The vibe of this gym, the people, the equipment makes me want to get an apartment near here just to be able to grind daily here.
People are here to really workout- it’s not the selfie type gym where everyone is just dressed to take a gym pic. I absolutely love this gym.

Steel Beach is just that, a beach full of steel. With a variety of lifting, cardio and calisthenic equipment, I can hit every single muscle in my body. I look forward to coming here every morning because it is an excellent start to my day. The staff is super welcoming and they strive to know their customers. Being able to get into the sauna after a workout is a huge deal for me and that's why I choose Steel Beach Gym!!

I can not say enough good things about this gym, in particular the guidance that I have received from Coach Brandon Lirio. As someone who has been exercising avidly my entire adult life (with a background in the fitness industry myself) I can not possibly overstate the depth of knowledge and work ethic that he consistently displays

Worst experience I've ever had. Tried to cancel my gym membership last year, but the Owner Jamie suggested I "freeze my account" instead. I was hesitant, but she ASSURED me I would never be charged. After the year was up, she started charging my old credit card for $255 over the timeline of 6 months.... WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ME!!! After calling numerous times; I spoke to her in person, and she refused to give me a refund! Poor business practice. I would highly recommend going to an alternative gym over this one.

Have had more gym memberships then I care to remember. Been member here now couple months so here is my take. Value for dues reasonable. Lots of equipment to use. Staff seems friendly helpful. My biggest issue with this gym is quality of air very poor air circulation. Couple of fans blowing stale hot air around. The lower level has alot of wasted space which could be better utilized which to access it cost more money and honestly it's not worth it unless you are into power lifting heavy but then it's a gym why pay more to? Staff needs to be more proactive about members not leaving plates on equipment after exercising. So basically why 3 stars.
