Great place just kinda feels messed up that they ask so much for free/donated stuff

Disorganized business and full of excuses. Setup an appointment for pickup and they missed it while I waited all day. The same person that took the request in the first place said it wasn’t in their system and gave me an excuse that sometimes their pickups get lost. Then I rescheduled online instead where they ask you multiple questions about your pickup including uploads of the pictures of the items. Then after I schedule they come 2 days early practically unannounced to get my furniture. Then the pickup guy tells me they can’t take some of the furniture because it’s a floral design (btw it wasn’t). They leave and I call the store to ask about the sofa they wouldn’t take because of the design pattern. I tell them that pictures of the furniture was uploaded to them before they even came out. Then I get more excuses about how they don’t check the pictures and more nonsense. Their website doesn’t say anything about what furniture designs they do and don’t take. Sounds silly for a donation store to be so picky and disorganized. I really didn’t enjoy dealing with this place or hearing their excuses. They seem not to understand that their excuses inconvenience people who are giving the. Expensive furniture for free. Why annoy someone giving you a $2000 couch for free because you don’t like the design pattern? Place needs better business management. Too many mistakes and excuses on their part.

The fact they won't take a bed frame now unless you basically donate dressers with it is crazy.
This place will never see another donation or a purchase from me ever.
Had a beautiful antique canopy bed to donate and guys didn't even bother to look at it. First thing out of their mouths if you don't have a dresser with it we don't take them.
So glad to see places like this haven't gotten so ridiculous.
I could see if it was trash or something but far from it.
I will take all my stuff to auction for now on. Might as well profit instead of wasting gas for these so called charities.

I donated a perfectly good sofa and was quoted $129 for the pickup. Two people (1 man & 1 woman) showed up an hour early with no notification. It took them roughly 5 minutes to take it out the door and put it on their truck. An hour later I was billed $140 without any notice. That will be the last time I ever donate anything to HFH. They got a very nice sofa which they will sell and get a good price for and overcharged me for the pickup. Beware of this scam!

Subsequently HFH Central Delaware responded to this review saying they don't charge for pickup. Nice try, I'm attaching a copy of their email to me - It was DEFINITELY HFH Central Delaware.

It is what it says it is, some things are a bit pricey these days, I haven't been there in a while but when I went back the prices went up a little too much for me. O but it is still a Great place to shop, I love it you can find some hinded gems, I sure did on that day.
