We rented a 2 bedroom condo in Beachhaven for the 2023 season using Heather at Remax. I was blown away when a few days after checkout she sent me an email with pictures that we had left the place a mess and she was charging us from the damage deposit. The craziest part was the examples she gave: We left the blankets and pillows on the floor after stripping the bed, couch pillows were a mess; we left a measuring cup in the sink because we had already started the dishwasher; hair in the floor of the shower and we set the thermostat to 76 degrees and according to their checkout email, I was supposed to leave it at 75 degrees. The pictures below are her example of damage. She then told me she was deducting two months of electric bills from the damage deposit. I pointed out that the one bill had days before we were there and she said I was being charged the full bill. It was clear that she was 100% focused on getting the owner of the condo to sign with Remax again for 2024, so she wasn't going to explain to them that when you rent for 2 months that hair is going to collect in the shower and pillows do get thrown around. She even brought up a towel and toothbrush we forgot as if they had to call in hazmat to remove them. I would never use them again and I am definitely going with Jack Lingo for 2024.

The office will review you poorly on VRBO out of spite if you dare to point out hazards in their rentals that need to be fixed. We stayed in a home that was so horribly maintained, the oven fell off the hinges when we opened it. I brought these issues to the attention of this Remax, and when I let them know I would be telling other renters about this in a review, they responded by rating me poorly even though we left everything clean and called immediately upon learning of the issues present.

Our family has rented from RE/MAX Rentals in Rehoboth Beach for 4 or 5 years now. Every year, we have been pleased with the RE/MAX staff. We have interacted with Heather and Tricia, both of whom seem to genuinely care that our scheduling and house-size needs are met. And the caring is paired with competence and attention to detail. I would totally recommend RE/MAX for Rehoboth rentals. I certainly plan to continue to use them for our vacations.

We rented the same house on the beach at Rehobath Beach as we have for many many years however this year covid-19 struck. The beach and restaurants were closed. We of course canceled our reservation.
Now....you would think we would have been met with a "yes we understand and of course we will refund your money" but No. We instead were told well..if we can rent it out we will give you your money back. WHAT!!
THEN we were told by an remax agent our week was rented. Then we were told no only partially rented and oh btw there is a 900.00 cancelation fee. WHAT!!
I find this to be extremely unprofessional, unethical and morally wrong. Liars and cheats to be exact!! Btw did I mention that remax took over renting this house to us last year and doubled our rent.
Do not do business with Remax or any of their agents. I will use every tech platform to rewrite this message and inform all I meet to stay clear.
Btw did I also mention that the previous real estate agency who was in charge of renting this house to us for many years was awesome and I know this would have never have occurred under their watch. Money would have been refunded with no problem and they would have suggested to us just that.

I rented a property from ReMax for an upcoming vacation in Dewey Beach. I paid close to $1000 for deposit I also took the travel insurance to cover the trip in case anything happened for protection. I found out that I needed 2 major surgeries and had to cancel the trip. They only reimbursed me $650. I thought with insurance and documentation required for proof that I should get my money back. They even called to say the rebooked the place. Beware of this rental company and READ the contract. Carefully!!!! Will never do business again with them!!!!!!

I would NEVER rent with ReMax Rehoboth again! Due to COVID Quarantine restrictions in NY we needed to cancel our rental. They said they would relist it to see if we can get our money back. However, they did not lift the restriction of renting it for 7 days to see if we could get any of our money back. They were not willing to work with us at all. Once they had their money they didn't care about the customer. Beware before you book one of their properties. Terrible service!

We're from NY and my family booked a nice week-rental property through Remax. Shortly after we paid for it, Delaware was added to NY's quarantine list of states and made it difficult for us to keep our vacation. Even though we were subject to cancellation fees, Remax (Heather) was incredibly kind and did not charge us. They were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. We truly appreciate their understanding. Having rented through other realtors we can say that Remax Rehobeth is truly top-tier. I look forward to renting through them again once the restrictions are lifted!

Don't know what happened. Last year the agent I was dealing with was lovely, this year... they fell down (different agent). The home we rented this year, owner must of had spies on us cause remax called 5x to tell us "something." The worst part the agent told us we could not ie smoke in our own cars, like inside OUR car because it's on the property and there's no smoking on the property. I said where do you expect me to go in the middle of the street. She said yes. REALLY! And then the owner of this property told remax we "STOLE" their paper towels. In the contract it states sometimes other guests leave supplies and we can use. The paper towels were insight/reach. Remax "tried" to charge us "$100" for those cheap walmart paper towels. I told them I'll go to walmart and replace, you BETTER NOT charge me for that. Never will I rent for this particular owner again. I wrote to remax I have yet to hear from them about my experience on this property.
