It’s alright but not worth the price. The afternoon staff is young and not very friendly. The girls working just stare at you when you walk in and don’t say hi it’s awkward. They just stand behind the counter and don’t really walk around or anything. Also the equipment is very close together so it’s kinda difficult to maneuver downstairs when it’s busy. I love the upstairs though it is nice. Unfortunately some of people that come here have no spacial awareness and the staff doesn’t care. They will scream across the gym, throw their weights purposely on the ground without caring and leave their stuff all over the hallway in front of the sauna. Overall it’s pretty expensive, the equipment is nice but the staff and crowd is ehh. ( here’s a photo of people just dumping their stuff in the hallway in front of the sauna and in the way of one of the bathrooms)

My experience at Powerhouse Gym has been positive ever since joining close to 2 years ago. From the first day I joined as a member, I was always treated with respect and felt welcome. The staff is always positive and ready to help out if there are any questions or concerns. The manager Jen is responsive, friendly, and always looking to help out. I've made so many lasting relationships being a member of the gym that have made my membership worth it alone. You really have all the resources available to get in shape and stay motivated to improve yourself.

The person that signed me up told me it was 20 and some change extra for Maintenance fee. 73$ ontop of 50$ is just crazy to me. I did look at the contract it is there. Misunderstanding regardless, one of the biggest reasons why I went to the gym is for the bags, indoor track and biggest for the sauna benefits. Least they can do is lower the bill for inconvenience for the sauna being out of commission for the last few weeks and still is. (Edit to reply) I’m agreeing with you on my response up top that it is on the contract for the 73/74$. And when I signed up I remember that day because it was giving me issues signing up tall curly headed guy. He said it would be just 20 something more dollars for the annual the way he worded it was if it’d be my bill plus the 20. Couldn’t sign up that day, came back and no one brought it up again. I should’ve looked at the contract regardless so that’s on me. With the sauna being down though that’s unfair for us to be paying what we’re paying while it’s down. Paying full price for partial equipment use as a business you guys should be doing that.

I don’t typically write negative reviews and really try to correct things with the business first. Well that has not worked.. so maybe this review will save others the trouble.
I have been trying to cancel my membership for months now. I initially called in August and was told to email them if I wanted to cancel. I emailed a few weeks ago letting them know to please cancel my membership and stop the direct deposit at the end of my contract. I let them know I was aware I had two months payments left, I just wanted it cancelled after final payment. I received no reply.
I messaged them a few more times and finally got a reply back from Andrew Pinon. He told me they now needed a credit card from me to charge the final payment? I said the final payment is coming out via direct deposit and I should not need to give my credit card info (especially via email).
Fast forward a few weeks and my final payment has been delivered via direct deposit. I emailed Andrew twice over the past two weeks confirming that my membership has been cancelled successfully. No reply. He will not answer me.
This is not a big or unusual request, I’m trying to cancel and this just confirms my reasons why. If someone from Powerhouse would like to reply, you know my email.

My experience with this gym was absolutely horrendous.
The equipment was often out of service. The staff was barely friendly or helpful.
And then when illness struck and I needed to cancel my membership because I physically couldn’t go anymore, a truly cruel experience was had.
I was hung up on, my emails ignored for months. When I finally got someone to respond to me they told me they would cancel it after a back and forth of gaslighting me about not being able to see my emails in real time. No reimbursement for the many months begging them to stop, as my account was charged, and my family was suffering financially.
I thought it was over and then they sent bogus charges to a collection agency.
Shameful.

Update:
Someone reached out to me from the gym upon seeing my review. They managed to have the collections agency reimburse me for my recent payment which I made out of fear basically because they were very aggressive about negatively reporting to my credit. I do appreciate that, however, this should have never happened in the first place. This recent helpfulness was contingent on me updating my review.

When I heard there was a new owner, I figured to come back and check out the facility, and sign up again. Absolutely nothing has changed, still have little kids running the business. It’s an all around immature place. Front desk just looks at you when you walk in. Sad that a place that was so good once has turned into this now.
