Dawn at One Smart Dog has trained all three of my dogs. The skills that she teaches from Puppy Class to Advanced Training Classes and special classes like Rocket Recall are invaluable. My dogs have learned to come on command in an emergency, walk-off leash, follow commands with distractions and so many more skills that both keep them safe and manageable. She makes it fun, holds you accountable with homework and teaches the owner how to parent a dog so that you have a happy and healthy dog home. She recently came out for a one-on-one session so I can teach them how to exit the house one at a time. Working on that one now that I have three!

We brought our 13-week old chocolate lab puppy to One Smart Dog training classes and absolutely loved it! Dawn is an amazing trainer who is very patient with the puppies and new dog owners. She goes into thorough detail when teaching a new skill or giving everyday tips to take home. I would definitely recommend One Smart Dog for training classes!

When I got my puppy I immediately signed him up for the puppy classes, then he graduated through manners 1 and 2. He took the tricks and agility classes as well. Having him learn so much and practicing with him has made him the most amazing dog, and he is so well socialized and friendly. I attribute our success to Dawn and her techniques. As a rescue, my dog at first had (and still has) some anxiety problems with new situations, but Dawn taught me how to overcome them.

We enrolled in Basic Manners I with our rescue puppy after finding One Smart Dog online and having them recommended by our vet. We ended up signing up for Basic Manners II (Dawn approved) as an immediate follow up because we learned that our pup thrived with daily training and the classes really helped him to come out of his shell and improve his confidence.

Dawn taught both classes and her knowledge and dedication to the dogs was outstanding. She keeps the once a week classes fast paced, candid, and straightforward - if you do not do the homework, it will show. I recommend OSD to everyone in the area, whether their pup is a new addition or not.

Dawn was very accommodating to work with our schedule to meet our needs. Rip our new puppy really responded to her and always was overly excited to see her. Dawn has a lot of great tips and experience as well as a very calm way of handling and training with only positive reinforcement. I really love the style of training my dog Roxy and I are receiving at One Smart Dog. I already see so many positive changes in her behavior. Our Basic Manners class is with Kim, she spends time at the end of every class going over any questions that anyone might have and gives great tips and advice for some of the problems we all have at home. She also gives great advice during class if she sees that a certain method is not quite working for a specific dog. I'm excited to work our way through all the classes offered.

My dog Charlie has truly benefited from puppy pre-K class. Dawn is an excellent instructor and has a very structured group program. There are all size dogs in the pre-K class and it is not an issue. I have the smallest dog in the class! He has picked learned every sing thing he was supposed to. Dawn address any and all concerns at each class that the parents are having. I have already signed Charlie up for the next class because we got so much out of it! I have had other dogs before but never taken a group class before, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dawn to anyone for either group for personal training! We are on to stage 2.
