They lock students account and give you hard to unlock it. They don’t care if you’ll miss your class while they lock you out. The IT desk is sooooo irresponsable because they close cases even when they aren’t solved yet. I hated my experience with them

Since , beginning my academic journey at MC. I have always felt sincerity and eagerness from the faculties there to support me in my endeavor. When coming to any random faculty there, never was my concern whether being too complexity or simple. Did any one of them turn me away, their response was equipped and ready to assist me.

After, taking serious advantage of the resources, tutoring, education, and weekly workshops. These boosters allowed and helped me to pass all my prerequisite courses. Now, I am currently studying wise, vigorously, and daily until the day of my Test Essential Academic Standard (TEAS) test. So, I can start my Diagnostic medical sonography (DMS) program in the month of May 2022 this year.

If Montgomery College (MC) was able to provide me with the support, I needed to get me this far . In my academic journey; MC can provide you guys the chance to progress to graduate and jumpstart your career.

Highly recommend MC to anyone, seriously look forward to initiating their career, picking up a few credits, and saving money as well as making good/positive friends:)!

I began going to MC in 2008 part time, finally, $22,000+ later and in the end of fall 2011 semester, I finally graduated with my Mental Health associates degree. Parking is always a pain. The drivers that come here drive like they are on crack. The layout of the campus is confusing at first, but you get used to it. The only new buildings ate the nice ones. The service center and the commons. Along with the ones on the west side of campus. But 60% of the other buildings are old and cramped. The student staff they hire to work the book store usually have an attitude. If you can, BUY THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF TEXT BOOK U NEED FOR CLASSES ONLINE. MC has an ASTRONOMICAL price hike. I had spent nearly 600$+ each semester on books and supplies alone until I started strictly buying what I needed ahead of time online. Most teachers will allow you to use a previous version and these books can be a LOT cheaper. Overall my score is derived over the span of attending there for 4 years, on and off part time. Every semester there were headaches due to staff, other students and the overall general population of youth who seem to get ruder each new semester. Talk with counselors if you need help. Always had a pleasant experience with them.

Admission has been VERY complicated for me trying to enroll my 18 year old.
My daughter classes are almost over and I'm just finding out they turned her down for FA.
Everything on her awards letter said satisfied,so Fa office told me to keep logging in to see what I've been offered. Ok,long story short she was turned down because of the way I filed my taxes.So I asked about a subsidized loan and they told me she doesn't qualify.I don't understand. She's an undergrad, she should qualify....they are so rude in the FA office and told me to apply for some loan upstairs.They would pull my credit and I would be told how much I need to pay a month IF approved by this loan place. My daughter really likes this school especially Rockville campus so I'm going the extra mile to try and fix things for her to be able to continue attending. It has been a long and difficult road for me....

Not inclusive or welcoming of non-traditional students—God forbid if you are an actual working adult. This so called “community” college is anything but. Many of the instructors are subpar, not encouraging or inspiring, are disorganized, and lack consideration for students (won’t check to ensure students can access their handouts or 3rd party applications. The technology is severely lacking—if you’re an iOS user, you’re screwed as the 2 factor authentication won’t work with iPhone and one must use a chrome or a Firefox browser in order to access the MC website and associated applications (who the h*ll uses Firefox these days? A rep from the MC IT Dept. actually told me that Safari and iOS were too advanced and that MC can’t keep up with the updates!). This is absolutely unacceptable, especially for digital art. Don’t waste your time, effort, and especially money at this poor excuse of a “college”.

Takoma Park Assessment Center- That black lady is RUDE. Every time I come, she acts like someone just spit in her food... Management needs to remind her, shes at work and working to assist THE STUDENTS! If you're on the clock, that's your job.. Not to act like everyone is an inconvenience to you, as you are texting on your phone... She lacks customer service, and her spirit will make you NEVER want to go to that campus!! Fix your attitude or get a job doing something you love, preventing you from coming off as miserable. (the men there are awesome- friendly and very helpful)
