Dan and his crew are amazing and professional. We sent our 8 month old puppy to his 5 week camp and started seeing results after week 1. At the end of the course we can say that the price of this program is 100% worth it. Our previously crazy puppy is now well behaved, has manners and knows all the commands necessary to be a happy piece of our family. Dan was great with keeping us updated throughout the week with photos and phone calls. He even made sure that we were well prepared with our own short training sessions at the weekly pickups. 5/5 stars!

We highly recommend Dan and his team. They are professionals who truly love their jobs as well as the dogs that are entrusted to their care. Learning and fun are both priorities. Prior to sending our 6-month-old puppy, Dan made himself available. My comfort level was a priority for Dan. We talked on the phone, visited the facility, and spent time with him. He patiently answered all of our questions. While we spoke with him, we were able to observe Dan interact with one of the dogs in the 3-week residential program. His calm presence, respect, and genuine affection for his young charge was very reassuring. When we returned after three weeks, we found that our young pup of 6 months is still his personable, fun-loving self--and then some! His recall is stronger, and walking him is much more pleasurable because he stays heeled and doesn't walk me! He has learned how to maintain a quiet place when we have guests and wait rather than rush in, and he does not break the different commands until released. Ferris is home with us now. However, Dan is still available to answer any questions. I am now the fortunate recipient of his calm demeanor, reassurance, and encouragement.

Learned a massive amount of skills from the Dog and Family Training 4 day in-home visits with Dan! We were given weekly homework assignments in between sessions which built off one another to provide great structure in communication with our giant young dogs. We just picked up our 10 month old puppy from his last day in the 365 program. While Teddy still has his happy and playful puppy personality, he is no longer barking for our attention, pulling on his leash or barking when he is in the crate. After his first few hours in the program we knew this was the right place for his training. We had several hours during weeks 2 and 3 so we could be trained, as well. Dan and his staff take such great care of the dogs and it is evident that they love them like their own. Teddy was so excited to see Dan and his dog, Tank, every Monday morning. Dan is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, and professional. Clearly he is an expert in his field and we could not recommend PRT more! This program has been life changing for us and we are so grateful for Dan and his team. We look forward to coming back so Teddy can be part of the playgroup. 🐾

We had a great experience working with Dan. We adopted a wonderful puppy who just needs some help building her confidence. We signed up for private training to ensure that we are setting her up for success. Dan is very knowledgeable and has helped us feel more confident with raising her.

Our experience with Dan was fantastic. Our dog was reactive and resource guarded. We struggled taking him for walks. Bad behaviors snowballed and we didn’t know where to start. Dan was calm and helped us come up with a plan.

We did the Private Training and 365 Program. Dan was flexible and was open to answer any questions. Our dog now understands it is ok to relax without having to be in our space. We can now have guests over without stressing. Dan showed us how to handle these situations to set up our dog for success. Walking our dog is amazing now. We have techniques as owners to ensure a positive experience when having him out in public. We never thought it would be possible to crate train our dog, but now he goes in with ease and is so calm when inside. We worked on recall as well.

We learned a ton and are more confident with our dog. Dan helped us understand how all the training ties together, so that we can ensure we continue the incredible progress that we have seen. This has undoubtedly led to an overall better dog while still being the same fun, happy, loving pup we knew he was. Dan & the PRT team are the best! We can honestly say they changed our lives for the better!

Prior to working with Dan, Marley (1 year old pitbull) was really cute but reactive to dogs and people, hard to walk on leash, and anxious when anyone would approach us. Marley's behavior made it difficult to take him for walks outside and forget about a park or a hike. We thought Marley would be a dog who spent most of his time inside because of how challenging his behaviors were. We had worked with two trainers from two different companies who had a lot of fear and reservation about working with our dog, especially because of his breed. So much so, that we were denied sending him to a board and train program with a well-known training company. We were asked to muzzle him when taking him out in public and essentially isolate him from people and other dogs. Before we dropped Marley off with Dan we were excited, nervous, but hopeful due to the patience and confidence that Dan showed us even after Marley lunged at him. Working with Dan allowed us to be a part of Marley's transformation. Dan emphasized the importance of training Marley and training us to be more confident owners to make Marley's life more enjoyable. We experienced new found joy in seeing Marley be the good boy we knew he could be. We can now utilize the skills that Dan taught all of us to ensure his safety and the safety of others.
