My Google maps took me here to go on a hike and I was encountered by a racist white male who was very harsh, short and demeaning. Instead of being kind and understanding that it was a mistake. He told me that this is a gated community and was short on telling how to properly exit and then proceeded to scream at me when, I tried to made the wrong turn. The woman working with him was more understanding and supportive in helping. I came here excited in good spirits and left in disbelief and disorientated.

East gate closes at 10:00 pm, people without a gate card drive around to the main gate across from McDonalds, don't just wait at the gate and block members who have a gate card who actually paid for one to use the gate at night, and don't follow them in either, other wise you might get the cops or security called on you. And don't ask members to let you into the gate when it's closed at night, and people who are just visiting family members don't use the gate at night unless you have a gate card to use

This is really disgusting. I have been from so long driving and I was looking for kayaking and I got this place in Google maps when I was going to this location. Just travelling like 40 minutes from hot Springs downtown. They stopped me and they want some reservation like that And they don’t let me go and I just returned back to Motel. I don’t know because that’s a big place it’s not like a village the clean green village unlike a community, the gated community but they asked the parking or the registration or something like that ticket so I don’t find where I can buy that And one of the security said that I can book it in air BNB so unfortunately I did not make it so I just turn around and come back so if you plan to go there, make sure to take a booking but the Google maps it shows that it’s available

Was a nice place to get away. Clean and nice rooms. Fully stocked and with extras. Nice pools and we loved the jacuzzi tub! Had to travel to do other things but wasn't bad. Nice beach at Balboa Beach too!

Gotta love our guards at the gates! The young man tonight filled me in on all the changes in protocol regarding life in a gated community and then he filled us in on what's instigated all the changes recently. That led to friendly conversation about life, families and even the addiction crisis and crime in rural areas and the price we pay. I was exhausted after a very long day of driving but, because I hadn't gotten my new 2020 resident sticker for the car, I stopped and made a new friend... a young family man who served his country so he could come home and do his best to contribute to the community in an effort to protect, improve and participate in the beautiful forested environment, many lakes and beautiful golf, tennis, fun things to do year round enormous neighborhood. He brightened up my entire day! They lock up the East Gate at midnight so check your time to determine if Hwy.5 East Gate or Hwy. 7 West Gate (24 hour attended) is best before you end up taking the extra long route here. Travel safely!

Easy way to get into the village coming from Benton or Little Rock area, guards are helpful and knowledgeable of the rules and laws sometimes police are there to help people out to. Hot Springs Village has an upstanding police force also
