Worth the read if you are considering this agency for insurance. I worked with Evaristo for years with various personal and business policies. On my first claim ever, I had trouble getting The Hartford to pay the full claim they were responsible for. I ended up having to get an attorney to show The Hartford the error in their calculations, which eventually resulted in a supplemental payment of $7000. When I called Evaristo to explain what was happening, they told me they had to “stay neutral.” Due to their lack of help, or care, about the situation I switch agencies. Upon switching they sent me an email asking why. Below is my email to them, as well as their passive aggressive response, from the owner Kyle. Mind you - his accusation of my attorney pointing a finger at them is wildly inaccurate, as he didn’t speak with them nor care about them during this situation. He only spoke with The Hartford. Also note how he tried to slam the insurance agency I am currently using, which was also inaccurate in his statements. I highly recommend staying away from this company and pompous never-can-be-wrong owner.

Sorry just catching up on emails. To be upfront, I was really disappointed when you told me you had to remain “neutral” during my insurance claim.

I’ve spoken with some friends in the industry and experts who help clients deal with these situations and they all said the same thing which is that you guys are supposed to work for me, not for the insurance company. They all said the being “neutral” thing is not the norm. I appreciate everything you’ve done up to that point, but when push came to shove, I felt abandoned by Evaristo.

No hard feelings, I just decided that this was not the correct place for my needs after that. I will probably have Paradiso take over the home owner policy as well, so you don’t have to spend time on that.

That’s perfectly okay. When you started to have your attorney involved trying to point the finger at us is when things changed in our book.

You can certainly have (redacted) handle your home insurance, you may want to make sure they really take a look at the underwriting guidelines this time.

If you recall they thought they could write a CT auto with a vehicle registered out of state and thought they could also place the home with Andover when it in fact did not qualify.
