This department has been a glaring example of waste, fraud, and abuse of District taxpayer $. Not only has it mismanaged funds, but it has also gone so far as to run ads on Metro buses—for what purpose, I have no idea 🤯- It’s a complete misuse of resources.

What’s even more disappointing is that it’s not just the staff—it’s the entire culture within this office. It’s vile and runs deep. Instead of serving the public, they seem to be serving their own interests at the expense of the people who fund their operations.

I can’t help but wonder how much more efficient and effective things could be if they actually held themselves accountable instead of squandering resources on frivolous advertising.

This is a 5 star review for Maxine, specifically! I had to complete a complicated, multi-part transaction yesterday and Maxine was so very patient, helpful, and kind. Staff conversing amongst themselves before acknowledging you. DLCP staff with short haircut provided me a check in ticket after waiting 15 mins, which put me behind the people that checked in after me, adding more wait time. Slow service although there are not many customers present. Frequent system errors which causes customers to make unnecessary trips to the office for payment processing. Been waiting for 55 minutes as I write this review and my number still hasn’t been called.
