John Morgan tends to be a realtor that wants to operate his business through the phone and emails. During the time our house was listed with Coldwell Banker, we saw him twice. Once on the day we signed the listing agreement and the other on the day photographs were taken of our house for the listing. The photographer was done taking photos before John showed up because he was an hour late then. When we got a full asking offer on day 8 after I showed the buyers our house, we asked John to put up a pending sign because there were multiple other houses for sale in our area and we were getting more traffic that we wanted with already having a contract with the buyers on place. He informed us that he "would have to order them but they should be available by Wednesday". I am not sure which Wednesday he was referring to because we never saw the sign. I eventually had to pull his sign out of our front yard because other buyers were going to the wrong house during open houses being held by other realtors. There was an incident where a realtor from a different company accessed our home by mistake because he didn't verify the address. John contacted the realtor about his mistake but never informed us while we were out of town. We came home at the end of the weekend to find all of our lights on and the back door left unlocked. At that point, I requested the Supra box to be shutdown to prevent further issues. I feel like he should have notified us rather than assuming it was corrected and us finding out later. I did speak with the broker in the Fayetteville office, Doyle Yates, about our experience and issues hoping to have some understanding and possibly some suggestions on how to have better interactions with future clients but the vibe I got from Doyle and the 2 questions he had to ask made me feel like it wasn't going to change. Yes we did get asking price and was able to finalize closing. John told me many times over the phone that "we were the best and easiest clients he has been able to work with" but that's because we did all the foot work and remained one step ahead in the process to combat the lack of trust we had in our realtor. I feel like John was very lazy in the process and only completed what was necessary to keep the deal moving forward. We are in process of buying land now, which John offered to help but we decided to go with a different realtor based on previous experience that we were ready to put behind us.

My wife and I have called Northwest Arkansas home for almost five (5) decades. During that time, we saved hard hoping to one day start a business in the Community that has given us so much.

Neither of us can recall ever receiving the high level of service that Adam Steenken provided. When we first met with Adam, we explained our goals and left the rest up to him. Not only was Adam calm, rational, and wise at all times during our commercial real estate transaction, but he was also an excellent listener. That saved a lot of time and money.

We quickly came to appreciate Adam’s broad professional experience including his former surveyor expertise. Adam was able to explain ordinances, surveys, setbacks, utility locations, etc. in a way that was easy for us to understand. Adam even attended pre-app city meetings with us and helped us navigate the city website as we narrowed our search. Most importantly, Adam also efficiently advised us on where to seek answers that fell outside the scope of his responsibilities.

Overall, Adam demonstrated robust patience, empathy, and ethical behavior as we selected and closed on two parcels sold by a very dishonest seller. There were many times when Adam’s level-headed “swagger” prevailed over heated emotions, all along moving us closer to the finish line. Adam simply never lost sight of our objective and never stopped working on our behalf. Adam also somehow made us feel like we were his only client, but we know better!

Honestly, it's hard to find the words to describe the admiration, respect, and just plain love we feel for Adam Steenken. He changed our lives and we will never be the same. Now it’s up to us to pay that forward until our next location. And when that day comes you better believe Adam will be the first call we make!
