Edit Mar 7th: Unlike what the BBB is stating, they did not explain why the below inconsistency fits their policies. As mentioned, Tammy hung up when I asked her this, refused to let me speak with her manager, and I have never spoken to their team "multiple times" regarding their policies. I have raised this behavior to the IABBB, but the Delaware BBB remains fully corrupt and incapable of taking accountability.

The level of shady business practices, irresponsible and unprofessional bedside manners, and the full dismissal of consumer concerns by this BBB is astounding.

I spoke with Tammy Jeandell, a Director at this BBB, in May 2024 regarding a complaint. I have extensive business with the bank, Chase, all which can have individual issues and some of which have resulted in separate BBB cases. I explained that I have never received a response from Chase regarding the specific concern in my case, and Chase has never provided a response on the same through the case, as she can clearly see. Because of this, she agreed to have the case changed to “Unanswered” or “Unresolved” in May 2024. At the time, she said this status change may encourage a response from Chase.

I then see almost 10 months later, when looking up the business as I still did not receive a response, that the BBB quietly changed my complaint to “Answered”. The BBB supposedly sent an email in September 2024 letting me know this, but it was never received (this may be an issue with Gmail or the BBB, but I’ve never had issues receiving an email). This BBB changed the status based on a continued empty response from the business stating that they responded to me, which they never did, and continuing not to provide proof that they responded (as it doesn’t exist. Apparently, proof doesn't matter and will never be requested from their business partners as the BBB will take the business' empty word above anything else).

When I spoke with Tammy today, she answered the phone hostilely saying she was short staffed. I said I could wait for a callback, but she wanted to move forward with my issue. It then became clear that her and her team blindly sided with the business and could care less that I never received a response. She miscategorized my complaint and refused to change it, then refused to explain how the business answered my concern. I then asked to speak with her manager, and she said her manager will be gone on medical leave for months... I said I would wait, and she said she refused to raise my complaint to her manager without explaining why and hung up.

The BBB is supposed to be neutral. There is nothing neutral about an office protecting businesses blindly (of course, Chase, with a large amount of complaints, *surprisingly* has no negative case statuses against it. I’m aware that these businesses fund the BBB but I didn’t know that the BBB could be so corrupt to protect their funding partners while blaming consumers). These complaints affect consumers, not the BBB staff, and it shows. Tammy waiving off my concern, refusing to forward to her manager, and proving that her BBB has no standards tells you everything you need to know.

I had a flood in my basement. Used Serpro in DE. Was charged $803. For Each for 2 carpets. My daughter and granddaughter cleaned up the water on both of them. They told me that from the beginning before I ever got their bill. Serpro brought fans that was the extent of their work.Extremely over charged!!

I made two complaints about Lucky vitamins. BBB serving Metro Washington forwarded both # 14451092 and # 14685577 to Delaware. Kadi Ann Stewart, shortly after posting my review here, in retaliation, canceled my second dispute made in August, alleging duplicity. She was not efficient and quick to try to solve the problems, open since JUNE, but she was very quick to cancel my second dispute, just a day after posting here with ONE star, but I deleted to post this new situation. In addition to the complaint, I posted a review about Lucky Vitamin and it never appeared on the company's review page. They should respect their ancestors who made America a great country, and now it is declining for people who are unjust and uninterested in mutual loyalty.

Carey's diesel. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! THEY tried to charge me $911 for replacing 2 fuses and a wire on a generator (Apu). $11 for parts $60 for environmental services, and $850 for labor. Absolutely the biggest rip off artists I have come across. I own my own tractor. I know prices. Been paying for repairs for 4 years on this truck and have NEVER been taken advantage of like this. They couldn't even do the repairs I brought it there to do! They came down to $634 after a heated conversation with the owners wife. But that was still way over priced. I can't rate their work because they didn't fix anything besides the 2 fuses and a wire. Seriously, go to Peak equipment. Will never ever consider taking any of my equipment to these swindlers. Hard lesson learned.

I terminated my Comcast Triple Play services on 6/3/14 due to a huge increase in my monthly charge and also because I could not get Tennis Channel Everywhere and other channels on my other devices through Comcast. I receive a bill with a statement with a significant credit balance on 6/12/14 which explained that my refund would be automatically sent to me within 4-6 weeks. I first called on 8/8/14 when my refund had not been received for over 8 weeks and assured that my refund would be received. I called back 8/14 when no check had been received and an escalation report was issued and I was assured that someone would call me in 24- 48 hours. No one called. I called again 8/22 and was told that my check would be processed and I would receive my refund in 7-10 business days. We will see.

For Comcast, who has no problem charging a late fee if you are late a few days in paying your bill, why can they take over three months and three phone calls to refund my money? Also, every step of the way when I said that I quit Comcast because of the cost, they offered to negotiate lower monthly fees to keep me as a customer. How is this fair to the poor schmuck who just accepts the huge increase in fees and keeps paying. Also, do not chat on-line with them. Those operators can't DO anything and whatever they tell you will be contradicted when you get a local American on the phone. The commercials are true - Comcast has the worst customer service!!

We have been working with the AT&T store in Rehoboth, DE to have AT&T Digital Life install and service a new system in our home. We have had a poor installation and missing equipment. After several attempts we have been unable to resolve these difficulties. Therefore and because we do not have faith that this system and its services will secure our home, we have asked to terminate our contract with them. They have notified us that the contract will be terminated at a cost of $533.32 to us. We are being charged this fee even though the poor installation and missing equipment has yet to be addressed. I placed an order at Patricia Petals for a large spray for a memorial for a dear friend. I placed order on Monday, memorial service was Sat and they called me to say it never got sent. I would rate they below 1 if I could. This was important to our group of friends that paid for it. I can’t fix this. I’m so disappointed in their failure to do the one thing that there business is supposed to do well
