I have been an auto and home customer of this local Bearingstar for twenty years. TWENTY! When a payment was missed I called several times and inquired what was happening and why. I have also sent emails. I work a very demanding job in the insurance industry and have little to no time to call any one during normal business hours. I sent a recent email after my app stated that "X" was due and it was on the verge of cancellation. But it has said that for months and I have not once been told explicitly that I had to make a double payment. Unfortunately, to boot I was hacked with the AT&T leak and I was getting email spammed by the thousands and had to delete a lot of emails to find ones I really needed. I asked to be put back on auto pay multiple times throughout the last few months. Every single month I have made a monthly payment. When I called today at 4:15 and was connected to Rachel I was told what was going on. I kept my cool initially, but when she called me back after speaking to "home office" to reinstate my now cancelled policy, she told me it couldn't be done. I lost my cool. I don't recall swearing, thankfully but I was upset. How can I be pro-actively making monthly payments and asking why this amount due is showing and receiving non-payment notices when no one ever said, "hey dummy, pay a double payment and we're good". I am certainly affected by the cost of living/inflation nightmare that most middle classers are facing right now. I am not looking for a handout, but maybe a smidge of compassion. I have been with them for twenty years, doesn't that account for something? Why would you not try to work with me, AMIELA? I hung up. I then went furiously hunting for insurance and called Arbella corporate while doing so. Lovely Rachel picked up and immediately pulled up the policy and said what did Amelia say, I then said listen Rachel, I am not playing the game, she essentially told me to XXXX off and I hung up. With that said I told her I was a licensed insurance professional in CT along with a background in customer service and being with them for Home/Auto for 20 years has to account for something. Along with making my required monthly payments, it was a misunderstanding. Rachel came back and said, I can reinstate your policy. WHHHHAAAT? I thought I couldn't do that AMEILA? I paid the amount necessary which I offered to do with Amelia, too. I called and was on the phone for less than 30 mins and have a fully reinstated and paid policy. It wasn't hard, but I am deeply disappointed that this had to happen. The customer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT, but compassion, listening and working towards a resolution is the right thing to do. I hope nobody else has to deal with this like I did and if there is ever a piece of advice to give, be kind always. If you want to lose your cool, it happens, I did but I hung up because I wasn't going to argue with someone unwilling to listen.

On a side note, I've previously worked with Tina Roy and Christina Wheeler and they've always been exceptional!
