We have two kids at SDSS Wilton and could not be more thrilled with their experiences. Christine is a hands on owner who is always present and amazing at fostering a healthy, disciplined and kind environment for her students. All of the teachers are patient and kind. Our kids have thrived here and absolutely look forward to their classes every week. Highly recommend if you are looking to get your self or your kids into martial arts!

We have two boys who take classes at SDSS Martial Arts of Wilton and they love it. SDSS is so much more than Martial Arts. What we love most are the life lessons our kids are learning like discipline, respect, kindness and responsibility. And they have a great sense of achievement each time they move up a belt level. SDSS is a wonderful activity to add to your children's life and it couldn't be easier because the bus will take them straight from Wilton public schools to the studio.

The SDSS Wilton team is seriously the best! They are kind, approachable and affordable. Christine in particular has been so helpful to us... she provides feedback to us on what my boys are doing in class and also regularly makes herself available to me when I have questions. My boys are rambunctious and the team there has been incredibly patient and understanding, even going as far as giving us pointers on what is working to help them in classes. I am grateful to have found them and hope my boys will continue with them for a long time!

We are fairly new to Wilton so whenever I need a recommendation I do a little crowd sourcing and several friends pointed me to SDSS when my kids started expressing interested in martial arts.

I brought both my son (4) and daughter (6) for a free trial class and even before we went in for that, I knew we would have a good experience. Master Christine was incredibly responsive and helpful via email.

We’ve been going for a few months now and I can add that not only does she understand kids, but also our needs as parents. There’s a ton of flexibility which is so important with little kids and this winter of sickness we’ve all had.

The curriculum itself is awesome- both master Christine and shifu Tim engage in fun and age appropriate ways, ending each lesson with some good old fashioned, how to be a good person stuff (ie: what does it mean to be honest?).

If your kids are in the wilton school system- the after school lessons are perfect. My daughter is able to take the bus directly from MD and Tim and Christine both help the kids get their Ghee on.

And if your kid is on the shy side, like my son- Master Christine and Shifu Tim have gone out of their way to make sure he’s comfortable and feels good about being there.

Lastly, pricing is extremely competitive and there’s A discount for siblings. Enrollment even includes a uniform! I also LOVE that you can just start whenever and not deal with the stress of enrolling and having classes fill up. There are also tons of times and dates to choose from.

As you can see- nothing but good things to say here. As a fellow small business I can confidently recommend SDSS to anyone considering a program for their kids that is well rounded in every way.

When we moved to Wilton, SDSS was the first kids space we joined. 5 years on it is still such a wonderful part of our community.
Miss Christine, Mr Tim and their team teach not only karate but self-discipline, self-respect and control.
The weekly kids classes are accessible for all levels and incredibly well ranked and organized so you can see true progression. The summer clubs and special events are a HUGE hit - so much fun for the kids, we go back every year.
The team here feel like family, they genuinely get to know you and your kiddos and take the greatest care. I honestly don’t know what we’d do without them.
On top of that, check out their adult classes, it’s fantastic exercise and they are incredibly welcoming to all levels.

SDSS Wilton has been wonderful for my child. Master Christine and her excellent team of teachers do an amazing job of teaching their students this art. Through consistent and patient instruction, I have seen my son learn and grow so much under Christine’s instruction. He has gained strength, coordination, and confidence. Christine also teaches students the all-important skills of self-control, self-discipline, and responsibility. These skills are especially important to have when learning a martial art, but are also essential in life! Christine does an excellent job of keeping students engaged and excited. My son enjoys his own classes, but he especially enjoys helping out with younger classes. This has added an important new dimension to his martial arts practice. I also find the studio to provide a great value for the price. I would recommend SDSS Wilton to anyone looking for a martial arts studio. Students of all ages and abilities can be successful with the excellent leadership of Master Christine.
